Post-Dominican basilica in Sejny serving as a parish temple, sanctuary and collegiate church. He bears the dignity of a minor basilica. It is the eastern part of the former Dominican monastery complex. Due to the rich history and multiculturalism of the region, it is a real tourist attraction of north-eastern Poland. The Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in the years 1610–1619 in the late Renaissance style by the Dominicans, who were brought to Sejny in 1602 from Vilnius. Jerzy Grodziński was the founder of the Sejny monastery. The temple of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is built of brick with a modern thread. Next to the church in Różanystok it is the only example of this type of temple in what is now Poland. The facility has also been entered in the Register of Monuments of the Podlasie Voivodship. The temple has two chapels - the Heart of Jesus from 1661 and the Mother of God from 1881. The interior is covered with a barrel vault with lunettes supported on massive pillars on a square plan with adjacent pilasters. The church is facing west, and from the east is closed with a two-tower three-story facade, covered with baroque helmets. The church towers are one of the largest in the Podlasie province. The facade has a definitely vertical character, it is three-axial, two-story.
