The narrow-gauge railway is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the Wigry National Park and the Augustów Forest. It runs on a 10-kilometer route from Płociczna to the town of Krusznik, along Lake Wigry. The railway is a valuable technical monument and one of the region's most interesting tourist attractions. In summer, transport takes place in open carriages, in the covered and heated outside the summer season. It started its activity in 1923 as the Forest Railway in Płocicznie. After the war, it was closed for many years. In 2000 it was decided to restart it, this time as a tourist attraction. Restoration works on the monument began in August 2000. In the years 2000–2001 a 10-kilometer section from Płociczna to Krusznik was renovated. Along the trail, in attractive places of the Wigry National Park, in the Augustów Primeval Forest, almost on the very banks of Wigry there are scenic stops: Binduga, Powały, Bartny Dół. The queue was officially opened on May 19, 2001.
